Research: copying and pasting from Wikipedia?

Absolutely not, of course.... But how do you prevent this being the inevitable outcome of spurious 'research'?
The infrastructure for the project is in place. Groups of students have begun building their wikis, negotiating group rules for working together and have started exploring the wiki 'hub' I've built. Soon we'll need to address the key question of content. The redoubtable John Davitt has produced a rather lovely gadget which generates a range of ways of transforming concepts which go way beyond cutnpaste thinking. I've posted a link to it on our hubwiki. It's open source so I've asked our technician Paul if he can create a version in which the students can add ideas for the generator. He'll probably have time sometime next year...
Meanwhile I think we'll just have a page on the wiki, or maybe a Wallwisher where children can post...
