Talking avatars

Spooky huh? 
I've seen Crazy Talk before but surfing the net a few evenings ago I came upon this tutorial  on the Rapid E-learning blog. So I was delighted to find that I already had the capacity to create a talking avatar (I've only had the machine for three years) It is also possible to download a cut down version  free for a Dell webcam. All I needed was an avatar to animate.
So I went to my favourite avatar site (myavatareditor.com) that I've often used with students. I was rather annoyed to find that Nintendo have taken the site down but pleased to learn that it was possible to download a version for free from Softpedia. So I did that and proceeded to create an avatar. Of course it's impossible to do even partial justice to my personal physical beauty so I just had to do my best...
The latest one above will tell you himself how he was created. Mrs DG and I created a very silly one featuring a French asylum attendant and a mad uncaffeinated woman and sent it as a birthday card to my daughter who is in Paris at the moment. My ambition is to find a high-res Christmas "Old Master" and make all the characters speak...
